Restoration Courses

One day Introduction to Restoration

This is a group course where we will cover the approach to restoration, ethics and some common materials and techniques.

Two day Project-Based Restoration

Having completed the Introduction Day, this is a 2 day course where you bring an item to work on. The item is agreed beforehand and the overnight between days allows for glues and materials to dry/cure.

I have regular attendees to these course who bring a different item each time to develop new skills.

Bespoke & Private Tuition

Bill offers Private tuition or bespoke training programmes to cover specific subjects/skills. Please email for details.

Restoration Ethics

Bill teaches the ethical restoration of furniture, where the appropriate materials are used and we discuss the various options and techniques.

Understanding how to plan the treatment of an object is important and preserving as much of the original materials and surface finish are essential.
